Energy Savings for Business Program Reminders |
When submitting an energy efficiency project through the Energy Savings for Business Program, please remember to download a fresh worksheet from the website (if applicable). It is always best to first open the webpage in incognito mode to ensure that you are seeing the newest version of the document. |
Also, whenever you attend customer meetings, all Service Providers are encouraged to reach out to the Account Executive Team beforehand. Our program representatives are available to attend your meetings to further add credibility to the program’s offerings and provide assistance answering any questions. |

Projects pre-approved under the old incentives (prior to August 23, 2021), for which installation has begun already, do not qualify for the new incentives. |
■ |
Check out the updated Pepco and Delmarva Power
technical sheets for measures such as heat pump water heaters, refrigerator door gaskets, and more. |
|
Measure Highlight: Variable Speed Air Compressors |
■ |
Prescriptive incentives are now available for variable displacement screw compressors of up to 100 HP. Eligible projects include new construction installation, adding additional compressors to existing buildings, and replacing existing compressors (both modulating and load/unload). Compressors less than or equal to 25 HP are eligible for $125 per HP, and those between 25 and 100 HP are eligible for $100 per HP. |

Eligible equipment includes: |
■ |
Roof top units over three tons and including direct expansion or heat pump systems |
■ |
PTACs, PTHPs, and mini-splits |
|
For more information, please check out the Pepco
and Delmarva Power HVAC Tune-up technical sheets. |

Project of the Quarter |
Congratulations to Siemens Building Technologies for receiving the Project of the Quarter for their work with the Montgomery County Government in Rockville, MD. This monitoring-based commissioning project, completed through Pepco’s Energy Savings for Business Program, consisted of:
■ |
Building automation system upgrades |
■ |
Air handling occupancy recommissioning |
■ |
Air handling unit chill water valve replacement |
■ |
Chilled water differential pressure reset |
■ |
Sensor/Actuator maintenance plan implementation at the Montgomery County Executive Office Building |
|
Chris Weatherly, Energy Program Manager for the Montgomery County Government, praised Siemens’ hard work by saying, “Strategic relationships with Service Providers like Siemens, coupled with data-driven energy solutions like monitoring-based commissioning, go far toward reaching the county’s aggressive greenhouse gas emission goals.” |
Thanks to these upgrades, the Montgomery County Government will save approximately 1,606,988 kWh annually. |
Think you could be the next Project of the Quarter? Submit your Q3 2021 project nominations to Shira.Singer@icf.com for a chance to be featured in a future newsletter. |
