Q2 Program Updates and Reminders
Building Tune-up Program
The HVAC Tune-up incentives have changed to a fixed amount of $140 per unit for units three tons and more. For units less than three tons, the incentives have changed to the fixed amount of $30 per ton and no longer are based on single or multiple compressors. This change aims to simplify the process for Service Providers.
The program no longer requires specific equipment readings, so contractors do not need to take pre- and post-measurements.

Projects of the Quarter
Medium-to-Large Business (MLB) Project of the Quarter
Congratulations to InSite LLC, which received the MLB Project of the Quarter for work with MRP Realty at the Bethesda Crossing property in Bethesda, MD. This Building Tune-up project, completed through Pepco’s Energy Savings for Business Program, consisted of installing energy and systems optimization technology. It will help with analyzing and reporting on electric demand and consumption, providing fault detection and data diagnostics, and allowing for easy identification of where further energy conservation opportunities can be implemented.
Thanks to these upgrades, MRP Realty will save approximately 296,186 kWh annually and received $85,542 in incentives.

Small Business (SB) Project of the Quarter
Congratulations to McIntyre’s Electrical Service, which received the SB Project of the Quarter for work with Fruitland Southtowne Commons shopping center in Salisbury, MD. This Small Business lighting project, completed through Delmarva Power’s Energy Savings for Business Program, consisted of upgrading the shopping center’s lighting facilities. Christy Alphin, the asset manager at Rivercrest Realty Investors, who own the property, was very impressed with the upgrades. “From the paperwork to the installation, everything went incredibly smoothly. McIntyre’s was great at answering any questions we had while helping us to receive the maximum rebate and much-improved lighting package. The lighting project they completed is fantastic, and the lighting levels and all-around appearance are exactly what we were looking for,” said Alphin.
Thanks to these upgrades, Fruitland Southtowne Commons will save approximately 33,839 kWh annually and receive $6,870 in incentives.
