Program Updates & Reminders

Business Instant Discounts

The customer heat map tool helps Service Providers locate eligible customers within their service territories.

The database includes all utility customers and their addresses, which allows users to search for specific businesses/locations to determine whether they’re a Delmarva Power or Pepco customer.

The tool does not enable users to differentiate between commercial and residential or active and inactive accounts.

For more information, contact Brent Oliveros at brent.oliveros@icf.com.

New Construction Lighting

As a reminder, a new version of the New Construction Design-Based Lighting Workbook was released on September 12. This version incorporates the following changes:

Buildings with dual use types (such as multifamily common area and retail) must use the new “Secondary spaces in project” drop-down menu to open the new tabs to record the fixtures in the secondary space.

The Core & Shell applications now have additional occupancy requirements before the incentive is issued. If you are considering either application, please reach out to Carley McLeod at carley.mcleod@icf.com.

Also, please remember that the workbook is macro-enabled, and you will need to make it a trusted document after downloading it from the Delmarva Power or Pepco web portal.

Small Business

As a reminder, Delmarva Power small business customers can receive increased incentives for select measures through the end of 2023, including:

  • Lighting – up to 20% increase
  • HVAC and other equipment – up to 10% increase
To receive the bonus incentives, projects must be completed with final paperwork submitted by December 31, 2023.

Project of the Quarter

Congratulations to Kenzie Electric LLC on receiving the Project of the Quarter for their recent work with the Dorchester County Public Library. This project, completed through the Delmarva Power Small Business program, involved upgrading the existing, direct-wired TLED tubes and T12 fluorescent fixtures to new, DLC Premium fixtures and retrofits.

“We are very pleased with the help that we received to upgrade our lighting,” said Francis Cresswell, the library coordinator. “The work was very professionally done. Kenzie was thorough and completed the project with good quality lighting equipment and quality workmanship. We couldn’t be happier with the appearance of our library.”

Thanks to these upgrades, the Dorchester County Public Library received $32,456 in incentives and will now save approximately 28,833 kWh annually.

Think you could have the next Project of the Quarter? Submit your project nominations to Patricia Tapia at ptapia@trccompanies.com for consideration to be featured in the next newsletter.
